Same Sex Marriage

On January 9 2018 the first legally recognised same-sex marriage took place in Australia and I couldn’t have been happier. What a day for love, for equality, for change and respect.

With years of experience and over a thousand weddings under my belt, I am one of Sydney’s most professional and trusted LGBTIQ Same Sex Marriage celebrants. I have had the pleasure of helping many same sex couples celebrate their love both before the law changed, with commitment ceremonies, as well as now, with the arrival of marriage equality.

My belief is that love knows no boundaries. Whatever your background or beliefs, the focus of my marriage ceremonies lies in creating the perfect experience for you.

A Same Sex Marriage Ceremony is not different to any other marriage ceremony and LGBTIQ couples can choose to be as traditional or as alternative as they like.

Together we will choose the style and words that tell your story best and tailor your ceremony to your requirements and taste, making it your own, unique celebration of your love. I love to keep things fun and joyous so you can rest assured nothing will be solemn or somber!

I am a skilled writer who will find the right words to express your feelings. I understand people and their love. I spend lots of time getting to know you and your journey, sharing lots of ideas so I can create the most authentic and personal ceremony possible.

Officiating the ceremony is not my only responsibility. I will also take care of any legalities and related admin, so all you have to worry about is simply turning up and having a fabulous, stress-free time.

I am regularly conducting same sex couples ceremonies of all sizes. For me, LGBTIQ rights and Marriage Equality have been issues close to my heart, which I have been actively involved in supporting, whether that’s marching in Sydney, San Francisco and Paris Mardi Gras, under the marriage equality and rainbow family flag or attending and supporting many LGBTIQ rallies and events. I am a strong believer in equal rights for the LGBTIQ community.

Marriage Equality has been a long time in the making and now it is finally here! Australia has said yes to love and I am delighted to be able to make Sydney the host of your special day.
